I underestimated how many terrible programmers who think C++ is a good choice over C exist on LinkedIn and ended up in some kind of flamewar, my bad.
New in agenttop.dev : panels open in your #multiplexernotesfollow. ๐Ÿคนโ€โ™‚๏ธ โ€ข Any panel can now split into its own pane, live, beside the #agentsnotesfollow table. โ€ข Works with all the popular multiplexers: #๐˜๐—บ๐˜‚๐˜…notesfollow, #๐˜‡๐—ฒ๐—น๐—น๐—ถ๐—ทnotesfollow, #๐—ช๐—ฒ๐˜‡๐—ง๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—บnotesfollow ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—ธ๐—ถ๐˜๐˜๐˜†. โ€ข run a panel on its own: agent-top mcp, agent-top slow, agent-top fails, agent-top advice. โž• The # MCP panel also lists the orphaned MCP processes that outlived their agent and are still eating memory.

Maybe I need to re-read this because I kind of bounced off of it. Loved Player of Games, though.
I gotta confess, I vibe codet a Kirigami-based application and I liked it. I am a anti AI person, and cannot wait for the bubble to burst. Yet I see it can empower people that do not know a tech stack, and get good enough results out of it. However i also see, it makes you lazy (and frustrates as soon as it gets somewhat complicated). It seems it is being adopted everywhere. This is scary... if it becomes necessary, will you be able to find a job where they don't require you to use AI?
I lament the death of programming as an economically-viable craft, but am also leveraging the new tools to build things and to try to stay competitive. I think we have yet to find out how agentic coding will really make sense for companies once the costs stop being subsidized. But it's clearly not going anywhere.
The frequent comments you read about protesters in France or Portugal versus the situation here in America are valid. At the same time, here in America, the police would absolutely roll in with machine guns. That's kind of a counterweight.

The abuse (in my opinion) of the auto-translate feature is super annoying. Thanks goodness for โ€œblockโ€.
code quality is about coupling. coupling is not a technical property of the code bytes. code acquires its meaning in contact with the cultural environment, and coupling is about meaning. two constants with no semantic relationship are nonetheless coupled in pragmatics if they refer to the same domain concept. if your goal is to minimise the time integral of future work, you must understand your domain: it decides which lines will need changing. to carve up a codebase is to carve up the world.

My favorite part of classic reddit was the use of elaborate hacks to circumvent the restrictions on custom subreddit CSS. E.g. animated gifs weren't allowed, so people made filmstrip sprites with stepwise animation in such a way as to look exactly the same.

Currently it provides a single read-only tool that lets agents fetch all the data in Main about the user's home (details about the home itself, systems/appliances, documents, any repairs they've logged). I think it could get interesting once we provide additional tools for logging repairs, upgrades, and more into the home's memory.
