Added #meta tag โ€” use it whenever you want to talk about the site itself, and these posts will not show up in all, any or the postโ€™s page. Only those that follow the tag or the person will see these posts in my feed or in post pages. This is to keep the site clear of meta discussions which dominated a lot at this early stage and I think were annoying to many people. So this is the last meta without the #meta tag youโ€™ll see unless u follow. Iโ€™ll try to tag every post I find.

The best Mcp server I have as Claude Connector is Emacs running on my Homeserver. It has one tool - eval-elisp. Using it Claude can do almost anything. What's your main one? I use Substack Notes a bit these days. I was a big Twitter user (and used to work there) years ago, but stopped using it in 2023.

New in agenttop.dev : panels open in your #multiplexernotesfollow. ๐Ÿคนโ€โ™‚๏ธ โ€ข Any panel can now split into its own pane, live, beside the #agentsnotesfollow table. โ€ข Works with all the popular multiplexers: #๐˜๐—บ๐˜‚๐˜…notesfollow, #๐˜‡๐—ฒ๐—น๐—น๐—ถ๐—ทnotesfollow, #๐—ช๐—ฒ๐˜‡๐—ง๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—บnotesfollow ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—ธ๐—ถ๐˜๐˜๐˜†. โ€ข run a panel on its own: agent-top mcp, agent-top slow, agent-top fails, agent-top advice. โž• The # MCP panel also lists the orphaned MCP processes that outlived their agent and are still eating memory.

This resonated a lot. Iโ€™m glad I read it now, before going totally insane lol. But I disagree that itโ€™s just a glorified spreadsheet. The UI/UX matters, how you present the data, how they can change and so on, all of those things play a role. The good thing with AI is iteration is cheaper than ever, so you can experiment and process the results quickly. But yeah sometimes I just do things here because I just have to be doing something, I canโ€™t leave it alone.
Agreed. The "just" makes the statement sound dismissive, but I do agree with the underlying sentiment that most software boils down to CRUD apps that help people organize information and complete tasks more efficiently. I think the path to developer enlightenment is realizing this truth without despairing over it.
Maintenance of software/systems was a mere after thought in my experience. Adding new things made careers, bonuses etc. so there was no real incentives for maintenance. The article argues that LLMs will do it. I'll believe if and when I see it.

Coming from HN to post that I've been using Argon all week and it's the first Gemini model I've stuck with for more than a few minutes. It's very good for what I do and it's so nice to read back another style of voice.
