Developed a Vinboard (my pinboard.in clone) shortcut, works really well. On iOS it lives in Share menu, on macOS in the Dock. Click sends the current browser page (Safari, Chrome, Zed, Firefox) for bookmarking. On the server side Jev decides tags from 60 least recently used; and archival opens a real Chrome to save the whole page for posterity. Unlimited API limits and direct requests to the database. Pinboard charges for much less functionality $22/year.
I gotta confess, I vibe codet a Kirigami-based application and I liked it. I am a anti AI person, and cannot wait for the bubble to burst. Yet I see it can empower people that do not know a tech stack, and get good enough results out of it. However i also see, it makes you lazy (and frustrates as soon as it gets somewhat complicated). It seems it is being adopted everywhere. This is scary... if it becomes necessary, will you be able to find a job where they don't require you to use AI?
I lament the death of programming as an economically-viable craft, but am also leveraging the new tools to build things and to try to stay competitive. I think we have yet to find out how agentic coding will really make sense for companies once the costs stop being subsidized. But it's clearly not going anywhere.
Frustrated with my phone usage again tonight, I uninstalled several pointless and time-consuming apps. Itโ€™s a cycle I repeat every few months. During this cycle, I wasted a lot of time on one of those puzzle-matching games. I'm considering switching to Ubuntu Touch at this point

Maybe implementing a subset of Markdown would be a good thing. I am thinking about bold, italics, inline code, and code block, mostly. Oh, and links.

I think so. It could even be made a setting, defaulting it to off. I think it would be useful, especially is self-hosted for a tech community.

I agree that minimalism is hard. Thatโ€™s why the subset was explicitly recommended small. Yet, I believe it is extremely useful to have.

I've tested MD and honestly I don't like it. Bold/italics add unnecessary noise/clutter and the font is already monospace, suited for code, so inline code & code fences are not needed. If 3rd party clients want to implement them it's fine but I'm sensitive to visual noise.

Last year I wasn't feeling too good. I turned forty, waited for surgery, and was hurt by my own colleagues. So I dealt with things. Maybe not so well, but to the best of my ability. One of the consequences was that I got a bit heavy. My body changed, and I didn't feel like myself. It was a problem for future me. So now I am here with this little belly of mine. We're not enemies, but I decided it's time to part ways. So I count calories. Maybe not so well, but to the best of my ability.

Thank you! Almost back to baseline now, after a few months. trigger warning, eating disorders: I sometimes forget to log what I eat in my app of course, but what is perhaps slightly nore disturbing is the fact that I sometimes log stuff and then forget to actually eat them. It is troubling watching the news today from the elections in Germany. Yes, it is democratic and absolutely fair elections and the people of Germany make their own choice in their situation. I have to constantly be working or I get very agitated. Is this #workaholismnotesfollow? I donโ€™t like entertainment other than background music while working and maybe before going to sleep I watch a series on Netflix to relax. Thatโ€™s when Iโ€™m on my introvert mode. When Iโ€™m extrovert (Iโ€™m ambivert) I have to constantly be around people and outdoors, I get agitated indoors, canโ€™t work at all and definitely canโ€™t watch anything.
