hallo, whirled

thinking on deploying excalidraw on my homeserver, so I can store drawings without bothering with export/import. Yes, excalidraw+ for $7/mo; but nowadays I pay only one sub - for Claude; everything else is personal software.

Am in a beautiful national park right now, drinking #coffeenotesfollow with elks, but the lack of strong internet makes me nervous :(

I wonder how much data Apple is transferring today. I used to download from a BBS Apple II software overnight on a 2400 baud modem. What a trip.

Using deep research for trip planning and visualising it with coding agent is fun.

oké, megdumáltatok, a héten telepítem a kis virtuális állatseregletem mellé (webszerver, mechanikus 1. generációs robotkezdemény, led kijelző szalag) az első ai agent chatbotomat, egyelőre Virtualbox Ubuntu alá

Munkák és napok rovatunk következik, avagy ki mit végzett ma, ez itt egy Windows 11-be rakott VirtualBox, amiben ott figyel az Ubuntu telepítése.

There is beauty in simplicity. Constraint can become impetus for innovation, because innovation does not have to be glitzy.

I've been on a kick lately of trying to visualize the oscillating clock, and ultimately the effectively arbitrarily complex activity of a computer processor, as modern refinements of the line shaft factory of the 19th century. Of compute as being not much more than profoundly refined "work" delivered by the electrical grid into marvelously complex machines. Does that, as a metaphor at least, feel as important to you as it has to me of late? We spend so much time in a world abstracted.

Hello everyone! Just testing this out!

If you need to hear this, I love you

Spending mornings scouring job boards and listings and applying. Afternoons working on Cheltenham Open Data and iOS app development. What about you?

Most of programs use key chords, like Cmd-Shift-G, Ctrl-Alt-N and so on, you need to remember and press awkwardly several keys at once. #Emacsnotesfollow uses key sequences, C-c then k then p then l. If I forget after C-c k p then press C-h and help appears.
