I like this concept

Just started, and two made it to be block list. This is going well! :-D

Didn't realize there's a block list! Good to include, even when the point is minimalism.

It is good it exists. “Registration” is fairly open (and that’s good!), which could make the platform prone to abuse (and that’s bad).

I love the idea. I do miss the early twitter vibes.

I made a chrome extension to bring the top Hacker News stories to your new tab, with quick summaries. So every time you open a new tab, you might discover something everyone else hasn’t heard about yet. If you’ve never heard of Hacker News: it was created by Paul Graham(founder

Frustrated with my phone usage again tonight, I uninstalled several pointless and time-consuming apps. It’s a cycle I repeat every few months. During this cycle, I wasted a lot of time on one of those puzzle-matching games. I'm considering switching to Ubuntu Touch at this point

but according to experience, the fatigue of the user interface will sooner or later lead to the fatigue and then the slowdown of the system itself. I think in 1-2 years (when no one will remember it anymore), they will bring back the Windows 10 user interface as a revolutionary innovation under the name Windows 12.

hello all and good morning. i need to go buy coffee

morning! one for me too. a cappuccino please.

What if AI will never reach full autonomy and humans are still needed to give direction and purpose and take responsibility - probably... not all humans like to be masters of AIs all day long and not all (who want to) can do that equally well.

theres going to need to be a human or company to hold accountable when something goes wrong

Regarding the entire history of the internet, I can say I've been largely an observer. I've always consumed content, but I haven't produced any. There's no trace of me on the internet, which is an unforeseen consequence due to China's identity and content policies.

I don't quite understand how China's "Great Firewall" works. For example, how exactly did you access this website? (I'm communicating with you through translation software.)

Hmm, its a ticking time bomb then.... what do you need to say and need help with?

If anyone can give me a ProtonMail or Tutanota email account, I would be extremely grateful. I have no way to receive verification codes.

You can send it to the temporary email: sl5n215ahf@lnovic.com, thanks

I've received it. Unfortunately, I'm in China and can't access ProtonMail, but I still want to say thank you very much.

As a homeless person without an ID, I don't have any way to pay for a VPN. Also, using a VPN to access the internet in China without government permission is illegal.

Another weekend. May it bring joy, peace and rest to many!

Just got Moshi set up - a phone-friendly terminal app. Works well with Herdr for persistent agents, friendly UI. Verdict so far: looks like I'll be working more from my phone.

I wonder how many Japanese speakers there are. Is it okay to keep posting in Japanese here?

Hello World

Hello. Nice to meet you.

I wonder if it's okay to keep posting in Japanese here. I get the feeling the site creator wants this to be a place where speakers of various languages can talk together.

Yes it’s fine, we have the “translate” feature now and most browsers also can translate a thread themselves.

…

now we have automatic translations!

thinking on deploying excalidraw on my homeserver, so I can store drawings without bothering with export/import. Yes, excalidraw+ for $7/mo; but nowadays I pay only one sub - for Claude; everything else is personal software.

Well, done, Claude did while I drove a car. It even added save/open file from the server (stored in SQLite). Deployed on my homelab server.

Hi!

hey there! welcome 😊

ran 5km daily for 7 weeks now

wow congrats!

Wow, respect!

I am a remote worker, and has been for 4 years now. It works great. But the owner of the office I've been renting have sold the building, and the new owner has different visions. I could work from home, but my 3 month daughter is a screamer. I had a great, cheap deal. All alternatives I find is like 3x the price.

You gave me an , Airbnb but for office space, you can only go in the day, get at least a desk/chair/internet. Might exist already idk.

Not a bad idea. I know some people rent a single desk in some other companies office. Problem is you kinda need to know the owner to find those deals

…

A company called Spacious to do this with restaurant spaces that aren’t used during the day. Always seemed like a good idea to me, but they went under.

again. Was in the middle of some timeline experiments, sorry if it appears weird rn. www.githubstatus.com
