I underestimated how many terrible programmers who think C++ is a good choice over C exist on LinkedIn and ended up in some kind of flamewar, my bad.

hot take: "consumer #ainotesfollow " doesn't exist. at most it's just better search, but the ai assistants like grokbot or now instinct aren't ever going to be big. new devices and personal agents are DOA

Switched from gpg to age, because pinentry sucks. With age I set both of my Macโ€™s security enclaves + software private key (stored in Passwords.app) + yubikey for hardware backup. Looks good.
"how to use our time properly. i need to improve my productivity." Why do you need to improve your productivity? is capitalism not getting enough from you? as you get old you will start regretting the time when you went the extra mile to burnout yourself so someone else can be rich... money will never give you back healt... Judgement, taste and quality were always precious skills. In the world of #AInotesfollow, I have become more aware of the fact that it is often hard to put in words why something is good, great or amazing - or just looks good, but is average. A lot of the professional content I see feels like most Netflix series. They have all the elements - but the overall experience is still meh. Quality is still hard to achieve.

Very cool: our kids' bathroom toilet overflowed last night, resulting in water draining into our kitchen on the floor below.
, I just went into our garage to find a panel of insulation fallen to the ground, riddled with mouse droppings. ๐Ÿคข๐Ÿ˜ซ Cleaned it up (gloved and masked, naturally), but probably means we need to re-insulate the whole garage. Which will undoubtedly uncover a leak or some other issue. The fun never ends!

Spent months pair-building a full telecom BSS with an AI. The surprise wasn't the code โ€” it was that the real job became verification. The AI read 450 tokens for every 1 it wrote. Turns out building honestly is mostly re-reading. #opensourcebssnotesfollow
