Since you guys are on textlog I think you will find this article and discussion interesting
A character count though that still requires JavaScript sadly enough ๐ฅบ
Interesting! Didnโt know about a few. Neat! ๐ Aside, do you have an invitation for ? Or can you help us by doing a post about
textlog.cc?โฆ
You think is too much? Itโs totally related to the post.
People post projects/tools/repos on lobsters all the time. From the about page, "as a rule of thumb, self-promo should be less than a quarter of one's stories and comments."

This resonated a lot. Iโm glad I read it now, before going totally insane lol. But I disagree that itโs just a glorified spreadsheet. The UI/UX matters, how you present the data, how they can change and so on, all of those things play a role. The good thing with AI is iteration is cheaper than ever, so you can experiment and process the results quickly. But yeah sometimes I just do things here because I just have to be doing something, I canโt leave it alone.
Agreed. The "just" makes the statement sound dismissive, but I do agree with the underlying sentiment that most software boils down to CRUD apps that help people organize information and complete tasks more efficiently. I think the path to developer enlightenment is realizing this truth without despairing over it.

creator of textlog - Is there a way to get an atom version of the โfor-youโ feed? Iโm guessing this is complicated by needing to be authenticated.

Today I had a long meeting of many hours, one of those where passive listening is enough for most of the time. I took advantage of the time to implement a two-way synchronization between my calendar and my markdown note system (Emacs Howm). I made the plan with Argon (I have few tokens per day with the subscription I have), with my feedback, and then Gemini Flash implemented it almost on the first try.
