Watched Black Bird ep 1. Definitely lived up to the great reviews.

I surprised my self this morning. I was looking for some content on YouTube with Mario (pi) and saw something that was 2 months old. First reaction was “that is too old.” I used to take my time, slow it down and have time for thoughts. Is this what’s happen to you when consume too much?

Patience is a muscle that needs exercise to keep functioning.

…

yes. everything goes so fast nowadays that we don't stop to appreciate stuff that happened the last month, two months, a year, 5 years ago.

With the recent speed of all the AI stuff 2 months is old but the whole thing has gotten exhausting at this point.

日本語話者はどれくらいいるんだろう。ここで日本語で書き込み続けるのはどうなんだろう

I wonder how many Japanese speakers there are. Is it okay to keep posting in Japanese here?

I wonder if it's okay to keep posting in Japanese here. I get the feeling the site creator wants this to be a place where speakers of various languages can talk together.

Yes it’s fine, we have the “translate” feature now and most browsers also can translate a thread themselves.

I dislike using aliases. I prefer fish shell like history search, fzf integration better.

That said, I stumbled upon a function (for zsh) that would expand an alias upon typing space. That's some great middle ground.

Hello World! :D

Hello!

Hello world. :)

I really like this minimal approach, I wish the maintainer great success with textlog. whatever that may look like to them :) I will make sure to check in occasionally.

I'm looking for a way to manage my bookmarks easily on desktop and Android. Anyone have any experience with software like that? It'd be nice to be able to tag or categorize pages, and maybe to keep local mirrors for certain ones. I'm open to self-hosting. Thanks for reading!

I've stopped managing bookmarks after del.icio.us died - now i just hit the browser star but they seem to disappear and never visit them again, apart from the most recent. The situation sucks really. I'm also interested in a good solution.
