Beautiful day with local community. Lots of physical labor, all my joints are swollen, back sore, soles of my feet aching, but a beautiful day of people working together and recognizing what a special group we have.

A lot of people write so much software to sandbox their AI agents. I say don't bother. Just give your agent its own non-admin local user account. It's easier and much more effective.

The more I use Terraform the more I don't like it. Can I just get the option to track state with Ansible?

Say more. I've been using it this year "at scale" and it sucks in the way that everything sucks when the whole company starts using it for everything. I haven't used Ansible in over a decade, but am curious what you like about it better.

Ansible just melds with my way of thinking better. I have a really hard time wrapping my head around nested loops in HCL and the overall "ugliness" of the language. Plus, I kind of like being in control of the order things are created.

I naively went into a work problem thinking that RAG was solved by the service offered at work, and wow was I wrong. Been a fun week so far experimenting with many different methods before doing the academic research, and it's been nice to be validated by outside research.
I am trying to learn emacs for the fun of it. The tutorial is brilliant and clear. Any tips that would help me learning more things. I know all I need is practice but if you may have used it, you may know a thing or two.
Bluey's "curry swapYahoo LifeThe 'Bluey'-inspired trick for twice the homemade meals with half the workFind a like-minded family to start your own weekday "curry swap" to share home-cooked meals." is an ingenious way to save #timenotesfollow #cookingnotesfollow. The scheme is simple: One night a week, we make twice as much #dinnernotesfollow and drop it off at the other family's house. Finally watched Project Hail Mary. Easily one of my top 5 favourite films but itโ€™s still not nearly as good as the book โ€” I feel like the cut some pretty important scenes

I loved the book and Iโ€™m always fearful when a movie script is developed and a movie produced, so my relief after I saw the movie was immense. I too feel theyโ€™ve cut-out some bits, but the main thing that a book almost always takes my breath away with is fueling my imagination. A movie would (possibly) never nail that aspect.
profilefollowreplied toprofilefollowI carved wooden spoons and my favourite herb is lemon thyme.:
I just watched it as well. It was fun. There were a number of things that I felt weren't explained well and broke my suspension of disbelief; I haven't read the book, but I found myself really curious whether the book takes the time to justify things more. Obviously, the movie has a lot of pressure to rush to the next "big moment".
profilefollowI carved wooden spoons and my favourite herb is lemon thyme.replied toprofilefollow:
If thereโ€™s one thing Andy Weir canโ€™t be critiqued on then itโ€™s not fully justifying all of the science. I think the film on the other hand can be hard to follow for someone who has neither read the book nor has a scientific background. Itโ€™s just hard to monologue about gravitational forces and relativistic speeds on screen.

I'm so fed up with the series of tabloid articles claiming Koji was a stand-in actor in koitoki. the 'insider' seems to be part of the staff since they had access to details like the location of the wrap-up party. Idc who they are and how true their information is, the intention is obviously malicious. it's just disappointing that a person like that is blending in with the people my oshi works with, viewing him as nothing more than a subject to sell to trash tabloids.
โ€‹the fact that these articles completely contradict official content is reason enough to ignore them. for instance, the article claimed Koji wasn't as cheerful as usual, yet the crank-in footage with Mone-chan was filled with laughter, and she even explicitly called him the mood maker of the set. they also claimed he joined filming late, contradicting the fact that they all met at the initial script reading. plus, on sunomanma, Raul even mentioned seeing the original drama proposal early on.
an official article from the director confirming he sent the offer to Koji after seeing his performance in 'fake mommy' is the only thing we should believe. behind-the-scenes details that aren't officially shared shouldn't be treated as truth. I don't understand why they're so persistent about how Koji got the role. why not direct that focus toward the one prominent cast member with a history of racism and misogyny? that's the only valid reason to feel uncomfortable about this drama.
