i recently finished hemingways "the old man and the sea". very highly recommend for anybody that wants something short and memorable. left me feeling something between inspired and nihilistic

This strangely reminded me of golden days of Twitter. There was a point I absolutely love Twitter. This is also a reminder for me to pick up a book instead of reading a load of random stuff online. Thank you!

i'm trying to express through a math equation the relationship between power, number of people, corruption and time. corruption = (time in a position of power * power)/number of people who have power what do you think?

Now what should I do with this Windows 10, Windows 11, Ubuntu Linux 3 operating system on a hard drive partitioned in two? It would be better if I wait until Windows 10 deletes itself first. They didn't say that AI projects should be slowed down, I'm doing it in such a lousy way.

Hi, teying to get started with linux and basic networking/cybersec here. What are some essential linux commands ant tools, or pentesting philosophies i should learn before i dip my toes in the water? Thanks :)
๐Ÿฆ›profilefollowStrictly no LLMs. No exceptions.replied to๐Ÿค”profilefollowBeginner who wants to be a tech enthusiast:
Essential commands are: ip for network interface and routing config host/dig/nslookup for DNS querying tc for traffic control nft for firewalling mii-tool for interface tweaking nmap for LAN discovery tcpdump to view traffic ping/ping6/traceroute/traceroute6/mtr for debugging connection issues
szรณval technikailag nem adatkรถzpontnak neveznรฉm a fล‘terminรกlt, hanem maximum vallatรณszobรกnak MI รผgynรถkรถk rรฉszรฉre, jelenleg el vagyok akadva a Windows 11 telepรญtรฉsnรฉl, รฉs nรฉhรกny kรถnyvet รฉs scriptet mรฉg lementenรฉk rรณla รบgy biztonsรกgilag, mielล‘tt belefognรฉk a vallatรณszoba kialakรญtรกsรกba, itt tรฉnyleg olyan sandbox van, amibล‘l nincs nagyon merre mรกszkรกlni, kivรฉve, ha direkt kikรผldรถm valamelyik webes alkalmazรกsra
So technically I wouldn't call the main terminal a data center, but more of an interrogation room for MI agents. I'm currently stuck installing Windows 11, and I'd like to download some books and scripts just to be safe before I start building the interrogation room. It's really a sandbox here, with nowhere to go except if I send it directly to a web application.
Maintenance of software/systems was a mere after thought in my experience. Adding new things made careers, bonuses etc. so there was no real incentives for maintenance. The article argues that LLMs will do it. I'll believe if and when I see it.

I still don't get how now after AI coding there's people saying that contrary to common belief code wasn't a bottleneck and I realized that when I was starting to code at 10yrs ago when I was 15 and read it in a stackoverflow comment. I thought that was the common belief and still can't believe a lot of supposed senior programmers apparently believed so.

Yes, code was never the bottleneck and of course now it never will be either. Figuring out semantic modeling of data that makes sense across business domains and figuring out the right way to use digitalization to modernize processes, and the change cultures as become possible through such work - thatโ€™s much more bottlenecks! Code is easy; people and process is hard!

I remain #AInotesfollow ambiguous. This morning I used pi+gpt5.6 to create a #vimnotesfollow color scheme based on evergarden.moe. It works, and I havenโ€™t checked how well it stay true to the style used in vim-bundled schemas. Before I wouldnโ€™t have done this, and now I can.
