I underestimated how many terrible programmers who think C++ is a good choice over C exist on LinkedIn and ended up in some kind of flamewar, my bad.

what?

Hello world

Anybody here actively working in or has contributed to (in any capacity) conservation (be it flora or fauna)?

a few #securitynotesfollow fixes this morning, some actions in your account are now gated behind email(or password) confirmations, like "delete account" and "enable password" - this is to keep the account safe. #featurenotesfollow

I got jumpscared by the moon rising because it’s visible from where I’m sitting and it’s huge.

Hello everyone! Just testing this out!

coping with fictional characters has done irreversible damage to me. it is embarrassing to cry over these characters

Ordered JBL Charge 6, waiting for delivery today. Will mount into my bike and will listen to music while commuting 25km to the office. I'm a victim of marketing, seeing an ad, buying stuff.

I hate devops (or rather what it ended up becoming)

Added #meta tag — use it whenever you want to talk about the site itself, and these posts will not show up in all, any or the post’s page. Only those that follow the tag or the person will see these posts in my feed or in post pages. This is to keep the site clear of meta discussions which dominated a lot at this early stage and I think were annoying to many people. So this is the last meta without the #meta tag you’ll see unless u follow. I’ll try to tag every post I find.

There are days llms impress, and days they don’t. I debugged an issue with Astra and it said it had no idea what’s going on and need to ask me before taking serious actions. Me adding “-f” to a mv and problem solved. So today I was not impressed.

The more I use Terraform the more I don't like it. Can I just get the option to track state with Ansible?

I remain #AInotesfollow ambiguous. This morning I used pi+gpt5.6 to create a #vimnotesfollow color scheme based on evergarden.moe. It works, and I haven’t checked how well it stay true to the style used in vim-bundled schemas. Before I wouldn’t have done this, and now I can. But I don’t know if it is good. github.com/…/evergarden.vim #codingnotesfollow #githubnotesfollow

Maybe it'll end up being a case of stated vs revealed preference, but I feel like Apple's really missing the moment with their latest products. People by and large want less tech in their lives right now, not screens and AI stuff everywhere.
